Working Sourdough Magic on Chocolate Babka
As Easter comes around, I always think of new breads to try. This year, I saw the King Arthur challenge for April and decided to make my version of the challenge: a sourdough chocolate Nutella Babka. I started with my traditional base and, after letting it rest for fifteen minutes, I added egg, butter and sugar. The filling was a layer of Nutella, Ghirardelli dark chocolate chipsand a fine layer of chopped pecans. The result was glorious. In one day, I felt like I reached a new level in baking: an neighbor and friend approved Babka and a beautiful blend of flavors in the Kulich.
Sometimes everything does come together!
